When I decided to rent at Hawthorne Hill the staff was very nice and did a lot to earn my business. Once I got the keys that all went to hell. It started with arguments about what I found on the move in checklist and just got worse from there. Anyhthing you bring to the staff they see as a hassle and treat you like crap. I have added someone to my lease, added parking and now tried to get a rental verification to get out of here and they all have been very rude and slow about getting anything done for us. Its sad when the new apartments we are moving to even comments on how horrible the staff of Hawthorne Hill is (and thats just with them trying to get a rental verification!) The apartment itself is nice but our neighbors are really loud so it makes it where we cant even enjoy being home. We cant wait to get out. I came on this website before I moved here and ignored the negative reviews beacuse of the great deal on the rent. DON'T DO IT!!! Listen to this and other reviews posted on this site. Stay away.

i did the same - and thought oh there are just some unhappy people out there that just like to complain - PLEASE LISTEN - it is all 100% true!!

I have had a great experience living here. Stacy is a great manager and she takes great pride in the community! It sucks that you have had a bad experience, but you can't speak for me. I plan on living here a long time. The community grounds are well maintained and I am treated great when I go into the office, they get things completed fast in my apartment and get t right the first time. I recommend Hawthorne Hill as it is a great community with a competant staff!

Oh please! First of all, in this review, did anyone ever say anything about Stacy?? I've read so many reviews on this website about these apartments and probably about 90% of them say the same thing about the incompetence staff...and look at that, as soon as they are mentioned in a horrible way, there is a response that they are so great. Does anyone else find it ironic that the ONLY time positive things are said about the staff is in response to a negative review?! One of the reviews I read was from a resident that had a bad experience with the staff one day, and needed to vent, as we all do sometimes... The response to that review was from someone who 'supposedly' was in the lobby at the same time the resident was (according to the response) 'going off on the staff'. The person writing the response stuck up for the staff and said the resident was rude and mean. The reviewer themselves were perfectly happy living there. REALITY CHECK: If you're perfectly happy living here and have no complaints, what reason do you have to come to this website other than to check for a review that you THINK that rude/mean person may have left? No normal person in their right mind would waste their time doing that unless they were tied to the staff in some way, shape or form. Listen, I'm sure there are people out there that have had OK experiences with the staff. My point: I'm tired of reading all these responses to bad reviews that are clearly the STAFF trying to defend themselves. I live in the complex and have had AWFUL service as well, and yes, this site is a great place to vent. But if the staff would just be more professional and courteous to begin with, they wouldn't have to play defense on here as much. I know customer service (as I've been a customer service MANAGER at a company for years now) and Hawthorne Hill does not have one ounce of it. They are the most immature, unprofessional, not to mention RUDE people I have ever had to deal with. BOTTOM LINE STAFF: Stop wasting your time logging on to this site and leaving bogus responses, and focus more on your clients and providing them with the customer service that every person deserves. That's what you're getting paid for anyway.
