Heritage Creek Apartments

On the outside Heritage Creek seems sweet, cute and friendly, but after living there for more then a day you soon realize it really is not. Yes it is very centrally located (more meaning there is a target, whole foods, home depot, right up the street) but the rest of the neighbors are less desirable. There are 2 strip clubs, as well as the slums just on the other side of the fence! The complex claims to be gated in, but the gates never worked during the winter, and the front gates are left open 24/7! I have a dog and when i moved in here talked to a Glendale police officer about how safe it is for a women to take her dog out at night. The officer said it was not advised!!! He added that the response time to the complex is about 45 seconds, but still I was not happy with the answer. The leasing staff is very nice, but if you want anything done, don't bother, they take their time! Though now with the new manager things seem to be getting done faster then normal. The counters all thought my apartment are lifting and when i brought this to the attention of the management they could have cared less! To top it off the buildings are very thin. There is no double pained windows so in the winter you have to sit away from the windows everywhere. I am lucky to live on the third floor, but i can here everything that the women below me says, and can hear her play her music and television. This place also claims to be dog friendly, well there are lots of dogs but the fenced in dog run that is the "only" place we can run our dogs is in a dark and rather unpleasant corner of the apartments, it also shares a fence with an apartment complex, where the people scream and throw stuff at you and your dog. I refuse to take my dog over there anymore, and it is a shame because we have to go to the park so she can run now. The only good thing about the apartments is that the layout is nice (i do love my place) it just needs better windows, thicker walls, new floors, new counters... the list could go on and on. Never the less they GOUGE you when you resign your lease! My place went from 750 a month to 960 within 2 years and 2 re-signings !!!DONT MOVE HERE!!! ESPECIALLY IF YOU HAVE A DOG!!!!

Well, did you speak up to management about your concerns, because we've had a few concerns and they have all been fully addressed quite reasonably. And as for the "slums", that is so derogatory, I can't believe that somebody would actually write that. Yes, just because the apartment complexes around Heritage are not of the same style as HC, doesn't mean that they are slums and that the poeple that live there are criminals, it just means that they are working people like everyone else here at HC, and for the record, we have actually encountered many of the people who live there as they pass by and are very pleasant, courteous, and just people trying to live, like everyone else. So, let's not be snobs, just because we can afford to pay a little bit more than they can and choose to live behind a faux fence...Be nice, and honest! Bigots in this planet need to be put in their place and corrected, and I'm glad that you weren't my neighbor, for I would have put you in your place a long time ago! As for the complex, it's a simple, yet nice place to live, and they provide a nice discount for renters until 12/31/10 with rent guarantee. So, please read this person's review with a grain of tainted salt. We love it here, location, people, and atmosphere.
