Poorly managed, bad grounds & neighborhood.

I have lived here for 10 months and I must say it has been an awful experience and I do not recommend living here.

Here is why:
1. Staff
- The management staff is very dishonest and extreme condescending (Melissa & Olga). They will tell you to pay one amount and then later will ask you to pay a higher amount because of "computer" or management errors.
- If you call with a complaint about anything, you are treated as if you are stupid and it is your fault or your problem.

- If you do decide to live here and want to renew your lease, don't expect any kind of retention promotion. We were up for our 3rd renewal & you would think they would like to keep us here by giving us a deal, but no and if you try to make any kind of deal, be prepared to feel powerless, talked down to, and given the run around.

2. Grounds
- Dog waste everywhere & burned grass patches all over the place. It would of been nice to walk across the grass without fear of stepping in something. They have rules about breeds, sizes and picking up after your dog, but they are not enforced. FYI: There are some residents with doberments, rotweilers & one pitbull walking their pets daily, so keep your little dogs on a leash.

- There is a water drainage ditch in the middle of the complex for all of the kids to play in (the playground is right next to it). This also fills up quickly with any amount of rain and it is only a matter of time before it gets really bad.

- There are constantly lights out in the hallways & car ports & plenty of dark corners for people to hang out.

-The "waterfall" consists of muddy runoff water and a pump shooting it up through the air. It is actually quite funny to see, it is behind building 6 if your interested.

-Entry gates are either broken or not working. I can't count on both hands how many times they were broken in the last 10 months. Broken gates means NO SECURITY. Whats the point in having them'

3. Neighborhood
- Extrememly loud neighbors.
- Kids without parents being extremely obnoxious.
- Tons of people living in one apartment.
- 2 or 3 dogs in some apartments.
- Lots of charcoal grills on the 2nd & 3rd floors (make sure you have renters insurance ;-)
- Two shootings in the last 10 months
- People use the parking lot as a shortcut (since the gates are broken) and drive really fast. I have almost been hit twice now!

4. Positives:
- It is on the Cherry Creek trail
- There is plenty of parking (just lock your car due to the neighborhood)
- If you have a dog, this is the obvious place to live because they don't enforce their policies.

Conclusion:
They may offer you a great rate, but there are better places to live and more honest people to deal with. The Highline on Cherry Creek is poorly managed and not a good place to spend your rent dollars. Living here was a mistake and I wish I would of been more thorough in my search. I suggest you continue your search.

if you are up for a third renewal that means you signed a second renewal. Why would you do that to a place you hate?

Some of your general comments about the apartments, are issues that you will have anywhere you live. As far as the shootings are concerned, that happened at the complex across the street. Crime can happen in the nicest of neighborhoods.

Doberman's are not a restricted breed, the Rott was an accident they signed the lease with the Rott on it and was overlooked and they couldn't terminate the lease. 2 dogs are allowed in the apartments, and 3 dogs, I have not seen but who cares? As far as the dog waste, that will happen at any apt community you go to. I'm not for this apt complex but I had to write a comment.
