My husband and I moved into Highline in 2004 while they were still in the process of being built. We had a really hard time w/Melissa. She was not helpful in the least. Behind our original bldg (#4) the whole back was coved in nasty water plus all the dogs still went to the bathroom back there so you can imagine the site. When hubby called to complain about it they ignored us and when he asked if they new what was in that water (bc we did - we had it tested) and she sent us info on what was in the city water. We eventually moved into a 3 bed from a 2 bed about 6m into our lease. The people that lived in it before us didnt pay their bill so when we moved into it there was no electricity. We moved into the apts bc we liked the security gates but of course we later found out that they hardly ever worked which leads to people speeding through and nearly running people over. After over a year there and having a new baby we decided to move out. Which entailed us having to break our lease which was one months rent plus all concessions so it cost us over $4500 to move out. Which I think is a bit high but we did break our lease so we did have to pay something but the way in which Melissa handleded it was beyond rude. We recieved nasty letters (which of course after we received them she would be out of the office for the next several days) and she was always short with us and never wanted to talk about anything. In one letter she sent us she stated that even if we did finish out our lease she would make us repay all the concessions anyway since we thought about leaving. Needless to say we gladly paid the fees and got the hell out. You would think for the price and the fact that they were new that you would receive better service and treatment. Oh and I almost forgot that "waterfall" is nothing but a joke. I mean come on that is such an eyesore.
