I recently moved out of Nuvo in February 09, my lease was actually up at the end of Feb and I moved out a little early but still paid my rent in full for the month. I just received a Move Out Statement on 4/3/09 and the letter was dated 3/11/09. They charged me over $500 dollars! INSANE!! Because I gave 53 days notice of moving out and not the full 60 days, they charged me $230 dollars for 7 days that I didn't live there. I had even turned in all of my keys on the last day of Feb and still was charged for 7 days rent in March. They also tried to charge me for a bunch of other ridiculous things. Not only am I upset about that, but during the time I lived in the complex I had several issues with Maintenance coming to fix things in my apartment. If and when they would finally come it was always at least a month after I had reported it to the office. Also, we went through 3 different Maintenance people for the 1 year that I lived there. They also had at least 2 different managers and they weren't very available to speak with. I feel like I got ripped off and would not recommend this apartment to anyone. My BF also moved in with me and he filled out the application form and did the CBI checks and everything and lived there for 6 months and they never put him on the lease even though they had all of his paperwork and we weren't hiding anything. He also had a dog which we told them about and provided them with the necessary paperwork and they never put the dog on the lease either, but yet they are trying to charge me $500 dollars for some crap. The Management clearly cannot do their jobs appropriately and their Maintenance guys got paid for doing nothing. All I can say is this was the worst experience I have had with renting and I would advise against living in these apartments.
