Worst apartments ever

This building is a wreck. Walpin (the mgmt. company) has done a poor job with a poor spot. The security gate has been broken since march 2003 and even a break in only got the gate shodily repaired for a few weeks until it broke again. The elevator only works periodically. Typically when you don't need it. In October the hot water boiler went out and we had no heat for two weeks and no hot water for three. After it was fixed, they put in a cheaper system that wasn't big enough for the demand. For the next three months hot water was spotty at best. I think you could have taken a hot shower in the middle of the night if no one else was doing laundry, showering or running any hot water. The net compensation offered to the tennets was a paltry $100 discount of rent, that could hardly be considered compensation for the agrivation. These apartments are run down and poorly managed. Walpin's ineptitude is indifferent at best and negligent at worst. The best advise any potential renters could get would be to keep looking for someplace that isn't falling apart.
