Well first I'll list the bads:
My kitchen faucet and garbage disposal has worked 4 total months that I have lived here (I've been here 3 years)
The shower works but the knob is stripped and broken so I can't take a bath even if I wanted to.
My stereo was stolen in broad daylight 1 week before I moved.
The doors, gates and elevators are still broken from when I moved in but the laundry room no longer locks electronically at 10 pm so I can at least use those facilities.
The utilities are horrendously high and they can only say well more was used this month than normal (riiiiiiiiiiiiight I'm believing that)

The good:
Close proximity to all necessary items (restaurants, stores, gas stations and all that)
Staff is friendly enough with the exception of a few people.
Tenants are nice people if you get to know them ( they turn down the music when you ask and say hello, that type of thing)
Washers and dryers are always working and are in plentiful supply within reason. also they fairly cheap to use.

The ugly:
service is often within a few days of the normal call which is unacceptable when things like the water isn't working (had to call in sick more than once due to lack of running water)
The goose ---- is intolerable during the warm months and the lakes are disgustingly dirty
More often than not the apartments are put together badly and nothing is installed properly so it will leak or warp floors and walls.

I wouldn't recommend kids here, but if you live alone or with a roommate it's a decent place for the money your spending. It's not a nightmare to live here just have to be real about the problems and remember theres like 6 people to fix 1400 units or some huge number like that.

I agree with all that you had to say- if you happen to live in the building with the hot water problem it is even more of a freaking joke. Utilities turned off whenever they feel like it- with a notice clipped to your door an hour before they turn them off. Shall I check my door every half an hour to make sure a NEW NOTE has not been pinned to it? The people, person, management in charge of running this place are incredibly incompetent and should be held accountable for the inconveniences they impose upon their residents. Completly unaccepable.
