What a horrible ending...

Here s a fun one. The sides of the apartment buildings (Specifically the 22 building) weren t sealed. So when it rains or snows (this is Denver, ya know) you have a nice wet apartment. Move the blinds away from the window and look up, or look down at the sill and see the paint and spackle chips. Would have been good to be warned before my electronics were soaked, but hey, they are busy in the front office not telling people. This went on for over 6 months. It was supposed to be fixed in July, we moved out in September--still draining into the house. That s what renter s insurance is for, I was told. Kid you not.
Check out the drainage problems on the back of building 22. Why yes, that water did come in our fireplace! Told the problem to the front office and nothing was done. West Nile, they live dangerously!
We had water draining from someone s toilet for 18 hours because no maintenance person could be bothered to work. No backup procedure. No apologies. Sent in the comment card-no apologies, nothing.
And the business office was never working the whole time I lived there (2 leases). The dog poop... wow. Amazing amount of crap on every green spot. My dog refused to use the bathroom because it was too much even for her.
My favorite is when the drug dealer got evicted and his pimp cars got impounded. That was a FUN day! That ranks second to the day I came home and found the porch above mine on FIRE, though. People had moved out--wonder who left the cigarette burning in the plant'
Trash is left out every day on the front stoop by your neighbors.
Papers are delivered LOUDLY at 5:30 am.
NEVER drop off your rent check. Got told they lose a check a month by a staff member. Mine got lost the LAST month I lived there, first notice I got mentioned "lawyers." We went to fill out our moving out paperwork, there was the check in our file--no one had called us to let us know they had found it!
Post office boxes get broken into, so make sure to get a box at the crappy post office down the road.
What UTTER JERKS.
