This message is long but worth reading.
AMLI has disappointed us from the day we moved into this apartment. Prior to moving in we experienced problems with the management, foretelling of the issue I'm about to let loose in this rant. Poor management, lazy maintenance, and absent resident relations are all amenities you can expect from AMLI at Lowry Park.
September 2004 - TWO DAYS before moving in, we were informed that the previous resident had not moved some very expensive items out of the apartment. The previous resident would not return calls from management. Instead of moving the former resident’s property to another location on-site, we were asked if our move-in date was flexible (which it was not). So, instead of growing a set and getting the other guy’s stuff out, management let the prior resident control the situation. Because AMLI only had two days to perform maintenance on the apartment, major things like carpet cleaning were not done.
Leasing agents and management are personable and available to guide you through the leasing process. Unfortunately, the pleasantries end once you put your name on the line. The office personnel are often rude and discourteous after you sign the lease. We called numerous times with requests that never made it past the front desk.
Maintenance is just awful. When we moved in we took careful inventory of the walls, doors, carpet, fixtures, and just about anything else a renter should be careful of and noted every problem on our move-in form. There were stains on the living room and bedroom carpet. In addition to that, there was a softball-sized hole in the bedroom closet door. Sarah, who we thought was the “manager”, but turned out to be the Resident Relations Manager, treated us like we were crazy and asked us if we were “sure” we didn’t make the hole in the door ourselves. For THREE WEEKS we were given every excuse possible as to why the door wasn’t fixed yet and why the carpet stains hadn’t been removed. After three weeks of calling Sarah, we were told that maintenance had been by to fix the closet door. Sure enough, the hole in the closet door was “patched” with Spackle in what look like the work of a three year old with icing and a spatula.
Fast forward to February 2005 – The dishwasher quit draining water. Maintenance came out to look at the problem four days later. For the rest of the week, we were once again given every excuse in the book (the service people from GE had to come out, the maintenance guy that originally came out didn’t know what to do and told the Maint. Manager and he just “forgot”, etc.). A call to the corporate office in Chicago was what it took to get anything taken of in our apartment. After speaking to the Regional manager, we were put in touch with Stephanie, the Community Manager. Stephanie was very nice and apologetic. A functioning dishwasher was swapped out from a vacant unit (which should have been done in the first place) that same day. The following week, the carpet in the entire apartment was cleaned.
Throughout our entire lease, Stephanie has been the ONLY courteous person. The rest of the staff members are worthless and rude. Promises are not often kept.
Since February, we’ve reported a patch on the bedroom ceiling where a serious water leak had formed. Months later, the brown “spot” has been patched, but the white Spackle clashes with the paint on the rest of the ceiling. The microwave is broken and it still has yet to be repaired.
The community has a limited number of garbage dumpsters albeit large and inconvenient to access. Management offers a “valet trash service” every Monday, Wednesday and Friday morning. The neighbors in our building prefer to place their trash out at the bottom of the stairs Friday afternoon and let bags of baby diapers, rotten food, and hazardous bathroom cleansers sit at the foot of the stairs ALL WEEKEND. Management knows the problem exists, but does nothing about it. Everyday residents in this complex must pass bags of filth to get in and out of their apartments.
“Resident relations” is a foreign concept to the management of this community. If you enjoy being screwed for $1000 a month, this is your kind of community.

I'm not surprised by your unacceptable experience. I lived in these apartments before they were bought from JPI, and the leasing motive seems to be very "profit-driven." Customer service seems to be veiled, because once you express a complaint--like a neighbor's dog who barks all day--you're treated like a problem tenant and your complaints are down-played. I would NOT advise living here.

Sad enough that I am positive you all were evicted from your apartments and want revenge. I am thoroughly enjoying my experience here, yes there are some problems like snow removal and parking, but hey, this is Colorado and it's an APARTMENT!!!

children live in apartment in westminster, very high rent, lots of dog poo, they do not call when a package arrives in the mail, and they are a snow hazard. Do not move here it is horrible for the money.
