Run away and don't look back...

Overall, this may be the worst experience I have ever had with an apartment.
To start off with, this company does not deliver anything that they promised. One of the biggest reasons for moving here was the promise of a gated community. On the first day I found out that all the gates were apparently broken. Did they ever fix them while I lived there' no.
To follow suite with broken equipment, I could not find a single working treadmill in the fitness center. Six months later they finally replaced them, but not with treadmills, just a bunch of useless equipment.
My apartment overlooked a pool, and often people would be partying at 3am. The information I was provided said that the "night security team" would be watching for things like this. I never saw any signs of security personnel, or any night crew for that matter.
When it came time to move out, I gave the 60 day notice as required by my lease. A week later I was sent a notice saying I was required to vacate 30 days from the day I gave notice. When I brought this to management's attention, they informed me they had already found a renter to fill my place and refused to take any action to correct their mistake.
After I moved out, I cleaned the apartment as best as I could. They charged me damages for cleaning it further and or things they said needed to be replaced, even though there was nothing wrong with them. Everything that could have been concieved as damage fell under my understanding of normal wear & tear, which is excepted by their leas and CO state law (Dirty carpet in heavy traffic areas, minor paint discoloration, etc).
I called to dispute these charges immediately. The person I spoke to said she would send me photographs to prove their position as well as an extra copy of my lease hilighting all areas concerning these charges. This information never made it in front of me. Instead, my account was sent out to a collection agency. This is where I stand today, and I am now looking for my legal recourse.
I have been through many apartments in the Denver area at each end of the spectrum, from a low rate studio in Glendale to a loft downtown. Never have I been treated as poorly as I have during my time at Amli. My suggestion to anyone looking at this community is to turn away. There are many places nearby that will treat you as you deserve without overcharging you.

Please tell me WHERE are these other places that will treat you fairly for a fair price? I have read hundreds of reviews of apartment complexes all over the Denver area and 95% of them are bad. Most of these reviews say "Look elsewhere, you can find something better than this for cheaper"....and so on. I keep looking, and keep reading negative reviews at every turn. Where are the good Denver apartments?!?! My husband and I are moving to Denver in a few weeks without the luxury of looking around before we rent, we're nervous based on all the bad reviews of Denver apartments online. Any positive recommendations would be much appreciated.

The reason that all the reviews on this site are negative is because the only people that post are the ones that are angry. The post above talks about the "gates being broken". My fiancee and I visited in early June, and guess what, there are no gates. My advice, take these opinions with a grain of salt.
