Where do I start'
-The toilets have had to be fixed 7 times
-All the windows in the dining and bedroom were warped allowing cold air to breeze in
-The patio was full of bird crap
-The dryer had to be replaced because it was burning my clothes
-The dishwasher is an energy nightmare
-The kitchen floor was chipping away and had to be replaced
-The laundry room floor was sinking
-And the WORST problem, please read below!
We have been working with Xcel Energy to determine why our 2-bedroom apt bills were so high. We're talking over $200 a month for electricity! Our energy history showed our apartment using more energy than an average sized house would. We are not home during the day and are very careful about conserving energy. Finally, Xcel came out and determined that a Baseboard heater was the cause for the high energy usage. (When turning off the bb heater, the meter moved to a crawl. When turned back on, the meter started to spin at a fast rate again) After further research, we discovered that this BB heater is meant to keep the water pipes from freezing. Our water heater is outside of our apartment in a closet that we never knew about. The maintenance crew at Lowry said that it never needed to be on because there is no chance our pipes would freeze based on the location of our heater.
After discussing this matter with the LOWRY PARK MANAGER, she said nothing could be done for us because the BB heater is for our apartment. Even though we never knew about it! I was told that with all the work I ve done regarding this matter, the manager wanted to do something nice for my troubles. Ready for this one'!'! She said that she d give us $500 dollars off our first month of rent after we re-leased! Nothing for our current lease!
This is bad business practice! The staff really doesn t care about tenants concerns. They follow up on service calls almost one month after the fact. I am very disappointed with this company and will be writing a letter to the owners. DO NOT MOVE INTO LOWRY PARK APARTMENTS! The rent is high and you don t get your money s worth.
