This used to be a reasonably nice place to live. Now it's a GREAT place to live--if you're 19-23 years old, don't have a job, and think the weekend starts on Wednesday night. Loud music, spilled beer in the elevators, and cigarette butts all over the stairwells bring back memories of my college days. The management always seems to be improving the roof and "party room," but the machines in the workout room are old and in disrepair. Plain and simple, this isn't a good choice for an adult with a job and a healthy lifestyle. If you're a student looking to hook up with someone for a night of loud partying or to light up a bong in the middle of a Monday morning while watching Cartoon Network, this could be your dream home.
Then there are the "inspections" that the management has been conducting lately. I still haven't figured out what they're looking for, but they've made it very clear that they have a legal right to enter the apartments with 24 hours notice. Fair enough, but they always post those notices after you've gone to work, so you don't get them until 6:00 p.m. on the night before they want to do the inspection. This seems to go along with the whole frat house theme--residents here basically get treated like poorly behaved minors.
Personally, I can't wait to move out when my lease expires. The only thing I still like about this building is the maintenance crew; they're friendly and hard-working and do their best to keep the place up, in spite of the Animal House atmosphere.

I agree with basically everything the above poster has written. I lived at "Sherman Tower" for half a year when I was 19, so naturally I had a great time. I met a lot of friendly people, plus it was my first time in Denver. I actually liked the fact that this was an old building with an old look, yet my apartment was beautifully renovated. The convenience store downstaiars was convenient. lol. The location and community was great. I loved walking up to Cheseman park occasionally. I would recommend this place, especially if you are just starting out at Colorado Ballet (a lot of dancers live here).
