bad experience

Just a warning: my two friends and I rented for 9 months at Peppercorn. A month before our lease was up, my friend called the office and gave them 30 day notice that we were moving out. They were fine with that. However, two weeks after we moved out, we got a call from a collection agency saying we didn't give 30 day notice and we needed to pay them money. After prodding a little, we learned that in the lease it said we needed to give 30 days written notice. It would've been nice if they would have let us know of that when we called to give 30 day notice. So, although living there was fine for us, this left a bad taste in our mouth. Just be careful and read the lease you sign very carefully. Thanks.
