We have lived here two weeks and already it has been HELL!!! The office has been totally unprofessional and uncaring. It takes calls to the corporate office to get anything done!!
We picked out the apartment we wanted to lease in early May knowing that it would not be available until the first week of June. In the mean time, we made all the normal preparations for the move (change of address, set up cable TV installation, notify utility companies, etc). Two days before we were to move in, we stopped by the office to see if the apartment was going to be ready for our move-in (cleaned and any repairs). We were told that it was not ready yet but it would be the following day and the office would give us a call so we could come look at it. The next day it was nearing 5 PM and I still hadn't heard anything and we were to move in the following day so I called the office to see if the apartment was ready for us to move in. The office told us that the previous tenants had decided not to move out and so (without telling us) they had moved us to a different apartment!!!
We rushed from work to make sure the apartment they had reserved for us was acceptable. We found that it still needed to be cleaned (it was now 6 PM the night before we were to move in).
They did manage to clean the apartment before we moved in the next morning but both bathtubs were backed up and it took a plumber almost seven and a half hours the day of the move to fix them. We also had no A/C, a washer and dryer that didn't work as well as several other things that should have been fixed before we ever moved in! When we went to the office on Monday to complain, they offered to give us two days credit on our rent! Two days!! It took a phone call to the corporate office (who to their credit, gave us a half month's credit)to get the items fixed!
We have managed to finally get most of the items fixed in our apartment but it's taken numerous phone calls and emails to the corporate office to get anything done. It took us eleven days to get our mailbox keys from the office! The complex office is extremely bad about returning phone calls and letting you know that they've received your request for maintenance.
Now we are having a problem with one of our neighbors parking so close to our vehicle that it's difficult to even get out of our vehicle on the driver's side (Parking spaces are assigned). We've called and emailed the complex and corporate offices numerous times but they are refusing to do anything.
Once the office has you on the hook for the lease, they pretty much figure you're on your own! uWDgQKY3Vkv8FKIsB8Ax
