Especially the interiors were nicer than a lot we looked at, because these are newer apartments. The staff and maintenance have always been courteous to us (especially the newer staff). They're also super friendly and say hello by name every time they see you. We're also close to several grocery stores and fast food. It's a plus having the Crush players here, because they're pretty nice guys!

Dislikes:
The parking is a nightmare. We have 20 apartments in our little corner and 8 parking spaces. We usually end up parking 3 or 4 buildings away from our apartment.

The noise is pretty bad too, especially with an inconsiderate neighbor who screams at her kids a lot. The walls and ceilings must be super-thin, because we can even here conversations, water running, etc.

We also kill a couple of spiders a day, on average. I'm not sure what kind of extermination we're paying for, but with gaps in doors and windows, there's only so many of those critters we can keep out.

Most of my neighbors have dogs, and most of those dogs are left to run free. Usually, when I get home from work, I'm greeted in the parking lot by somebody's dog. Those dogs are also leaving a lot of messes in my yard that don't ever seem to get picked up.

Security seems to be a real issue here too. I know of a couple reported assaults and several other cars have been broken into, resulting in stolen cd players and stuff like that. I've only seen one patrol through the neighborhood in the past year, and that was to ticket people who park illegally. One time my outside storage unit was broken into, but fortunately I was only storing carboard boxes, so nothing was taken.

The clubhouse leaves much to be desired, since it was designed to not be usable to the clientele. Most other newer apartments you can rent out the clubhouse for activities, but not here. The exercise room is also very small and has older, noisy equipment (no elipticals or newer stair climbers). Our mailroom has a community board, which I thought was nice, until I realized it's not used as a community board. Instead, solicitors come from all over town and post annoying ads all over it.

When we moved in, our carpet was filthy and reporting it led to nothing other than us having to clean it at our own expense. I thought that's what deposits were for. We probably won't get our deposit back when we leave...because the carpet is dirty.
