I don t know where and who to start!
Unfortunately, I have been living here for 14 months!! I swore to God that living as a HOMELESS in Denver streets is much, much better than living in this complex. I will list the problems that I faced since I lived here:
1- Don t ever think of opining the window, even if their (low quality) dielectric is closed! Bugs will enter! Within two hours, you will feel that you are living in a swampland surrounded with different types of bugs (types that you may never think about)! I called the leasing office, they send someone to spray my apartment, but that NEVER HELPED!
2- PARKING LOTs, PARKING LOTs, PARKING LOTs! Seriously, I walk around 50 seconds from my car to my apartment (which considered FAR). Moreover, in the winter season, you will feel that you are park your car in the middle of the North Pole, no one will clean the parking lots or the halls, except for some of the residents volunteered to do that. That s in the winter season. Here is the question now, what usually happens (EVERY SEASON)''' The answer is: CAR STEALING! Seriously, not exaggerating, as a late sleeper, it becomes not rare to hear a car alarm at 3 in the morning. Therefore, I decided not to wear my pajama while I m watching movies or T.V after 12 in the morning because I wanted to prepare myself if I heard a car alarm to go out and catch the thief! Three of my neighbor s cars were stolen. I have just received a letter from the leasing office; this letter was sent to the whole residents, states that: MAKE SURE TO LOCK YOUR CAR, CRIMES BECAME POPULAR IN "DENVER"!
3- EXTREMLY THIN WALLS!! The neighbor who lives above me is a big fan of watching T.V, and especially, Rock music. He also has two satellites in his patio. Anyways, I swore to God, that I hear every channel he is watching, I meant hearing VOLUME BASE . I called the leasing office 4 times, and they called him and he say the volume is normal. The fifth time I was really pissed off, as a college student, I couldn t study! So I called the leasing office, and they told me that they are going to call him and get back to me after they finish calling him. Then they girl in the leasing office called me and said that HE WAS SO NICE and he said that his T.V is not the source of the noise. The funny thing is that I said to the her while she was talking to me: how come he was nice and I LISTEND TO HIM SHOUTING AT YOU ! Then, the most upsetting thing is that because of the fact that I m from the Middle East and my English is not that good (I'm a DU student, I came to the states to get my degree and go back home), and I m just 20 years old, they believed him! I even told the girl in the leasing office, please come to my apartment now and listen to the noise by yourself, she said: I m sorry I can t, call the police if you would like to! <<< That was exactly what she said.
4- Don t ever be like me, DUMP! Don t every by amazed by the leasing office girls and how nice are they (to be honest, only one girl is so nice), the other one is extremely rude, the manager is the worse!
5- Don t ever be amazed with the apartment, by the way, all the apartments were renovated, this complex was built in the early eighties, the apartment looks luxury at the first time you see it, but when you live in it, you will understand that it is like a Wall-Mart product, looks nice from outside, really bad from inside! Pondersoa apaertment has a really bad constructions.
6- I really wonder why some people say that it s not an expensive complex. I pay $700 for one bed room apartment. On the other hand, I will be paying only $100 extra in the breakers resorts which considered one of the most luxury apartment village in Denver, some of the greatest benefits they have beside their wonderful gym, and amazing residents, and spa, and a great and big lake...Etc: *24 hours security with a gate that only allows residence to enter. * GARAGE!!
Therefore, because all of that, I broke my lease yesterday and I m moving in a few days to the breakers resorts even though I will be paying for this apartment until the end of February, but what can I do, I couldn t resist this complex any longer. When I saigned the lase, they waved $30 from my monthly rent. Now, becasue I vroke the lease, the asked me to return it back, I paid then ($360) Anyways, As I said, live as a homeless, but don t live in Ponderosa Villas.
