I don't understand the negative reviews this place is getting. I have lived here for over a year and was just curious to see what rating the complex had. Keep in mind, it is apartment living, there are going to be issues that you don't get with owning a home. I am not happy about losing my house and being forced to live in an apartment again. Things are definitely different than they were. My job sends me to apartment complexes everyday...I work for Comcast. I have seen some bad places to live in the area. This complex is really one of the best.
Any time I have had a problem with something in my apartment, maintenance has come that same day and taken care of it. I have had problems with some fixtures in the unit, but only minor things. The grounds are kept clean and safe. When it snows the sidewalks are usually cleaned off. The complex hires a service to clean up after people neglect to clean up after their pets. It's nice that management does it, but they shouldn't have to. They also have a guy that comes around to the dumpsters and cleans up around them. The overall cleanliness of the complex is very good. The dog park is really nice to take your dog to and play with other dogs. It can get noisy with all the dogs out there, but this is usually right after everyone gets home after work and takes their dogs over there. It does not last long.
Management does enforce their policies, so you can either consider this good or bad, depends on your point of view. You can't do work on your car. Your vehicle does need to have current registration. I know this because I got a warning letter. I have also been contacted by management warning me about my child running and making noise into the apartment below. The noise is not extreme for apartment living. The property is actually very quiet for multi-family housing. While I don't like being given notices for compliance by the office, it is good to know they do follow up on complaints other residents make. You just have to let them know if you have a noisy neighbor or other problem.
Overall, I really like living here. It is so close shopping, restaurants and bars. I almost don't even need a car with everything so close.
I would highly recommend this complex despite some of the other reviews.
