My daughter lived at the Regatta Apts last yr, and was evicted because she was 15 days past due, after she had lived there for about 10 months and had always been ontime on paying her rent and she had problems with her employment and the management was horrible about the whole situation, they weren't understanding about the situation, like they could care less. I had co-signed on the lease(per the lease I lived there too- but didn't and the management knew that),So I tried helping her by paying her rent and late fees. It was then that I had called the manager and she wanted me to take the money after I got off of work, I wasn't able to get a money order or cashiers check,(becuase she refused a personal check), before they closed that day and she wouldn't even work with me, infact she was so rude to me that it caused me to lose it and I told her that she was acting like a B****. That's when my daughter got the Housing authorities to help her, they had contacted her (the manager) and said they would pay for the rent and any late fees, but it would take 3 days to get them the check, she still refused to wait even 3 days, making her still under 1 month late (about 18 days), and she decided that they would just refuse any money from us and The Housing Authories. I had contacted corporate and they were surprised to hear what I had to say and said they would look into it and call me back and apologized for her behavoir, but when I got a phone call back they took her side saying that she can do what ever she wanted. Who knows what she really told them, and come to find out, they want to sue us now for over 5000.00 for 2 months rent, their lawyers fees, interest, all the discounts she was supposed to have saved signing a 1 yr lease for a 1 bd 1 bath apt. So be sure you read the lease carefully, or have a lawyer do it for you becase it is only for their benefit, why should they care if a tenant moves out, they'll just sue them for more than they actually would get if they stayed the rest of their lease when they can just get another sucker to rent from them on their so called "Move in Specials" As you can see aren't special at all. In all my years I have never dealt with such uncooperate, unprofessional people with lack of compassion for their customers, yes, that is what we are, the customer!!!!!! But they don't see it that way once you sign their lease.

I understand what you mean. ------, the office manager has been nothing but rude and very unprofessional. I actually composed an e-mail detailing a specific incident that took place and sent it to customer care. They have not responded and have not done anything about it. It is pointless. The lease is so heavily biased towards the management that they can literally do anything. I moved out the soonest possible moment. I wanted to ask you something... did you happen to contact customer care or did you call their corporate number? The one common theme among the people that have lived there is that the office staff, with the exception of ------, have no understanding of customer service and absolutely no regard for their tenants. The funny thing is that on the Carmel Partners website they have listed their mission and vision statements which, in retrospect sounds so completely bogus. Check it out: http://www.carmelpartners.net/mission.htm

Thanks for the comment and website, What a joke. I actually contacted customer care and they contacted corp and corp called me back and they were rude to me too, that's why I think their a joke, anything to get a customer. I am very tempted to contact Tom Martino to see if he could help exposing the truth about these types of leases and the way management have been acting. What do you think?

HELLO??? Why should they feel sorry for someone who paid their rent 15 days late? its a business. Its all in the lease. and if you cant understand how they do their business then maybe you should move and quit complaining about it.

Wake up and get a clue, if you pay your rent late then of course your going to be evicted. They have a policy that they have to follow just like all the other apartments in the world. If you dont read the lease then its no wonder you are surprised.
