You can't hold the complex responsible for the woman's careless actions of leaving her door unlocked. Since that has happened, security has been stepped up. They replaced the hinges on the pedestrian gates up front and Arapco Sheriff's deputies have stepped up patrols. In fact, I spoke with a deputy soon after the incident and he says they never get calls at the complex for anything more than loud noise. He told me it was one of the safest places in the county.

If that is so true, why are there CONSTANTLY patrol cars in the complex. Is security that tight or is it that needed? But you have one thing right, they did tackle a machete swinging maniac pretty quick outside my window. As for the gated community... it would be nice if the side gates worked and they would actually close them once in awhile
