decent apartments

The apartment complex is nice-looking and clean. The front gate worked fine and the only problems I experienced were with one of the side gates not opening from the outside for a few months or so. Having a gated community definitely made me feel safer, for a short while, before I realized that there was so much traffic coming in and out of the complex that all you had to do was wait five minutes and anyone could get in. Our mail was getting stolen from the boxes (none of mine that I ever knew of), but management gave us the option of giving them our outgoing mail. (The mailboxes are located outside of the gates, - never saw the sense in that.) As for the management, they were very friendly and generally helpful throughout the entire time I lived there. The only problem was that I never seemed to recognize anyone when I went in there - I guess they had a high turnover too. The only one I recognized throughout the ten months I lived there was the manager - and she was not friendly at all. She never wanted to help you and would pawn you off on someone else, even if they were busy helping others. I do have to say that they worked very hard to get me into an apartment on a very, very short notice. That was nice of them. But when renewal time came, they offered me a lease with a higher rental price (like $50 higher) and were going to charge me $35/month for the washer/dryer that came "free" with the apartment. I was not going to renew after seeing that offer. This is probably one of the reasons why tenants are ALWAYS moving out - every month there are moving trucks in the parking lots. The workout room is nice and spacious compared to a lot of other ones I've seen. The pool is nice but was always packed in the summertime. It was not big enough for the size of the community, and I often saw people walking in from our neighboring apartments with their swim trunks and towels. One of the best features and things I miss most about these apartments were the little rabbits that lived on the property. You would see them hopping around in the grass and bushes. A couple would graze outside of my window and bask in the sun. The bad thing about this place was the cleaning bill at the end of the lease. I kept my place spotless - spotless! I did not have any pets and didn't even walk on the carpet with my shoes. Everything except the stove looked the same as the day I moved in, but yet I was charged about $70 or so beyond my initial deposit). I had no major problems with my actual apartment and for the most part my neighbors were good. I had some very noisy upstairs neighbors though - but that was just the luck of the draw. The bedroom was relatively small but had two great walk-in closets. The bathtub was very roomy and all the cabinets and appliances were modern. The gas fireplace was great and since I lived on the second floor, I did not have any safety issues. For the most part, I would recommend this place but I think it's a bit pricey for the small space. I've seen similar apartments in the aurora/denver area that look just as nice but are larger and cheaper.
