Compared to other complexes that I have lived in both here in Denver and 8 other states, The Renaissance Apts. is among the cleanest and nicest places I have resided. While it has very few drawbacks, cleanliness is not one them. They have taken extraordinary measures to ensure residents have bags and potty stations available for easy access to clean up after their pets. While not every owner is responsible, most are.

On my soap-box! As a veterinary professional, the comment about ringworm in a previous review is in short, asinine. Ringworm is a fungus very similar to that of "athlete's foot", or "jock-itch", and is usually transmitted via direct contact with the fungus which is carried on the skin of other HUMANS or the skin and fur of animals. Other more serious diseases can be transmitted via dog feces, including but not limited to; various parasitical worms, protozoans, viruses, and bacterium. As important as zoonotic disease are to humans, the potential transmission of canine diseases, many very serious and potentially life threatening, from one dog to another through contaminated soil are far more likely to occur. In other words, your dog would be more likely to get sick from feces that wasn't picked up from other dogs OR the annual migration of Canada geese and the guano they leave behind, than the humans are. If anyone cares, a re-iteration of mom's advice, "Wash your hands!" and proper sanitation practices are by far the best possible way of avoiding any health concerns one would have for living in a communal situation. I am now off my soap-box.

As far as my experience is concerned with fellow residents, most are very kind and friendly. While some do not respect the rights and feelings of other residents by not following the rules of the complex, the vast majority of my neighbors do. When conflicts occur the staff are very quick and responsive to ensure that everyone can live as peacefully as possible.

The entire staff, from the office personnel to the grounds and maintenance staff are top notch. Keep in mind, only a handful of grounds and maintenance persons take care of a very large luxury complex of about 20 buildings and huge sprawling grounds. Can anyone imagine how many complaints and maintenance requests they must handle' They do a pretty damn good job!

My only major complaints would be two fold: A stricter, more uniform enforcement of community R&R, and the seemingly over watering of the grounds to the point of the feeling of walking on a wet soppy sponge in the morning.

All in all, it is a great place to live as I have done so for over 2 years now and plan to continue to do so for the foreseeable future. If you have read this entire review, KUDOS! It was long-winded but I felt compelled to state my opinion in its entirety. Thank you for reading!
