Most rental communities consider it a privilege to have YOU as a resident.

Not here.

It is a privilege for you to live in a place where the (unprofessional) manager does not appreciate your timely rent payments, who will lie and tell you what you want to hear to avoid accountability, and is rarely in the office to assist residents with whatever they may need.

Maintenance is a joke.

Before I moved here I read all the reviews and thought that just maybe...

the reviewers were upset residents and maybe I would have a different experience.

Not so...

They were absolutely correct.

Low cost rent, low level service, low everything! Do NOT let the landscaping fool you.

Schools in the area have very low scores on their accountability reports.

So not really good for parents that want their kids to get a real education.

I did NOT put my children in these local schools...

thank God.

Oh..

and it would be a plus to be bilingual if you enjoy talking to your neighbors.

This is the worst rental experience I have ever had.

The day before I was due to move in, I learned that my neighbors had bed bugs.

When I confronted the manager and asked if they indeed had this problem I was told "not to my knowledge".

Despite the fact that there was a Terminix truck out in front of this unit.

However, maintenance and the residents themselves confirmed that they DID have bed bugs.

When I requested a different unit I was treated as though I were a huge burden for not wanting to put up with that type of problem.

I should have taken that as a sign and ran the other way.

Trust in reviews as they are here to help.

This place needs a major overhaul.

A new manager, and new maintenace staff will go a long way

This person failed to put in this reveiw that their son was breaking in to vacante unit and causing damage, also breaking into basements of some of the units and stealing. their children never had adult supervision. And if the school are so bad around her why did they move up the street and her children are still going to the low rate schools. If I had been the manager when they lived here I would have throw them out too.

Obviously the schools in the area are awful, judging by your grammar. To make things clear, we weren't "thrown out". We severed our relationship with the property at the end of our lease. I would've loved to see a police report regarding the breaking and entering too, as anything stated without the proper documentation is simply heresay. Big word, I know...it means it doesn't mean anything. Anyway, Sherrel Manor is still garbage in my humble opinion and the current property we are at actually HAS management staffing their office when they're supposed to be open. Imagine that...someone that actually does their job. Oh, and our children have not and will never attend public school in this district. Regards

why is it the ones who cause the most proplems are the ones to say it is someone else fault. I have live here for 14 years and have never had a proplem reaching the manager in fact I like this manager better. She is easy to work with and easy to get along with. I know who wrote this review and I have seen your son going into peoples basements and I am sure the reason the manager did not call police on him is she believes in talking to the parent first to solve the problem. so it is Sherrel Manor that is better off not having residents like you, who won't except that maybe is it them that is the proplem and not were you live.
