You are out of your mind to move in to the Uptown Square

I have lived in the Uptown square for nearly 3 years and this year will definitely be my last. The company that bought Uptown Square (Equity Management)from the "Post", employ the most rude, worthless, careless management staff in Denver! They have allowed the hallways of the buildings to become filthy, stinking dumps. I could go on for hours about their incompetency and unprofessional manners, but what bothers me is how dirty the place has become, and they seem to care less!!!
I don't know about the other buildings, but the building with the parking lot attached has become a dump! Dog urine and poo seem to frequent the hallways these days... and the poo stays there for days on end without being cleaned up. There were blood smears on the walls of the stair case a few months ago which remained for I don't know how long, and then of course the reoccurring vomit... could be from a dog, could be from a human, who knows'! I realize this filthiness in the hallways is essentially the fault of careless tenants, but it is absolutely DISGUSTING, and for as much as I pay for a 1 bdrm apartment ($1,200), I shouldn't have to call the management every week to have the building cleaned... and then have to call again and again, and again, because nothing is done! (Actually, recently there was a note posted telling tenants to clean up after their pets. However, this note should have been posted months ago!) As it turns out, the note hasn't helped anyway. There was urine in the hallway this morning.
One would think it a no-brainer for any building management to employ an adequate cleaning staff for their properties. But not Equity. At least not at the Uptown Square. (There are 7 buildings and ONE cleaning lady!!!) Of course the poor woman cannot keep up with the enormous amount of tenants she has to clean up after!!! The management should get off their lazy you-know-whats and hire a freaking cleaning staff! Each building should be cleaned at least 2-3 times a week with the amount of dogs living in the uptown.
The buzzer at the front gate has been broken for weeks. If you have ever been inside of the Uptown square, you would know it is not the simplest thing to leave your apartment to get your guests. The hallways are often dark. The courtyards are loud, and recently our cozy courtyard fire pit was vandalized and is no longer functional. (Once again a tenant problem, but the management could still fix it considering we pay for it... or screen the tenants more thoroughly). About 20 cars were vandalized (including mine)a few months ago, and the management took no sort of action until we, those who had our cars vandalized, posted our own announcement. The management wanted to keep it quiet, of course, because it is "bad for business."
But screw the tenants, right'!!
While it was still called the "Post Uptown Square," things were wonderful. The courtyards and hallways were always well taken care of, clean, and all of the lights worked. If there was ever a problem, concern, or if I simply had a question, the management staff was very helpful, polite, and seemed to genuinely care about the well-being of the tenants. They were prompt to hang notices, prompt to correct complaints as well as make necessary repairs to my apartment and the building. Oh how I miss the "Post Uptown Square!"
