Fun pool in the summer, relatively modern apartments, if not a little too plain. Good weight room when everything is working, lots of young professional residents.
Unhelpful, stupid staff that can't figure out your rent amount in the middle of your lease, can't recognize an insurance form (hint: it says something like "Allstate Insurance" across the top) and really should be working in fast food. Serious maintenance problems, including broken grills and a security system that works 50% of the time if you're lucky. Plus, they just had the awesome idea to paint the buildings...it looks like Willy Wanka had a little too much Mexican when picking colors. Neon blue and green, puke and rust are the best ways to describe the color of the buildings now. Think Blues Clues meets the Teletubbies meets Hendrix. I think I now understand what its like to do mushrooms.

I guess since you don't own the place, You don't get to make those calls. Secondly, it is the hot new thing to do to be urban. When you are a home owner, you get to pick your own colors....PLUS fix everything that breaks.

I thought the idea of this type of repainting project would be to make the buildings look more appealing. I'm not going to lie, the colors are nauseating and I can't seem to get used to the hideously explosive tangerine orange that is now the exterior of the building. Commons park repainted their buildings and it actually looks urban and up to date... just saying.

I love my apartment at Uptown Square, but there is no getting around the sad fact that they just committed the worst paint job ever. Really hideous. It looked urban when it was all unpainted concrete; now it just looks ugly and kind of kitschy - like Disney Land gone horribly awry. For the first time ever, I am actually embarrassed when I invite friends over - I used to be kind of proud of how cool the buildings looked, and now I find myself apologizing for the paint (everyone who has visited me has commented on how gross it is). Vomity and vile, and there's no way around it... Every day when I drive home, I kind of hope the paint has magically peeled off to reveal our cool buildings. Too bad that they did this (plus the extra sad part is I am sure it was not cheap). That said, I still enjoy my apartment - on the inside where they haven't yet managed to spray their electric yellow paint onto my walls...
