Tenants are disrespectful

Many of the tenants of Uptown Village are young, obnoxious 20-somethings who don't care if come rolling in at 2am, drunk, screaming and carrying on, and waking people up. Unfortnately it's not just the tenants - it seems to be endemic with staff, too.

Some incidents to show the immature, inconsiderate nature of the people living in, and working for, Uptown Village:

1) The pool closes at 10pm, yet jerks routinely party at the pool into the wee hours;
2) There are frequently parties where extremely annoying and extremely loud music is blasted to all hours of the night and morning;
3) They have a crew come in monthly to buff the floor immediately outside my hallway door - at 3am. The crew doesn't speak english, blares Mexican dance music out of a boom box, and carry on extremely loudly.
4) There's a new manager every few months, and they rarely care about any problems like this. Of course you can say that about any business in America these days. Get 'em in, get their money, and to hell with them.
5) Someone was evicted last year for shooting people on the ground with a paintball gun from their balcony. That's the type of recessed-forehead, knuckle-dragging tenants they let in here!

Hey, I'm a city dweller, I am used to noise. But not at 3am, and not when it can be avoided through simple courtesy.

Summary: Uptown Village is little more than a college dorm environment where obnoxious, pretty-people children get to play like spoiled brats with virtually no intervention by management crew that rarely lasts three months.

Other problems:
the parking garage is underground which is nice, but it is always dark, and poorly ventilated, exhaust soot builds up very quickly.

construction: concrete. noise from neighboring units is rare. Noise from the hallway or courtyard is common.

I live here (and have put up with this crap for 5 years) because of its location. Being on the edge of downtown is a convenient place both for my work and for downtown restaurants, shops, theaters, etc.

If you are intolerant of disrespectful punks as I am and being right on Downtown is not that important, you might want to stay away.
