Word thru the grape vine is the manager of this dump just got fired. Place just got bought by another company so was not unexpected, but a relief it finally happened. Hopefully they'll can the rest of the staff because they are useless and don't like to work or fix things in a timely matter if at all. Time to hold a party in the club house.

You better get your facts straight before you go running your mouth about things. you have know idea what you are talking about because the manager did not get fired! and what ever happened to her is her business not yours or anyone elase for that matter. if you think the staff here is o horrible then maybe you need to go live somewhere else. i have lived here for the past year and have NEVER had any problems with any of the staff.

The original poster was right, Cindy, the old manager is no longer at Uptown (not sure if she quit or was fired). Now the manager's name is Monica I think, she has been there for a month.
I know people had mixed feelings on Cindy, but she was always awesome to us - always willing to do what it took to help us out.
Sadly, in the last month we have had problem after problem with Uptown...not going to go into the details now, but I'll post a review later on. Not sure if it has to do with the new management or not, but our quality of life at Uptown has been terrible lately. I literally don't want to go home at night it is so bad.
It's a shame, there was a lot we liked about the place, and we were there for years...now we are moving down the street.

To the first responder, of course it was a matter of time. New companies want people they know running their properties, DUHHHH! You probably just moved in or don't care that everything in your apartment breaks or leaks and didn't get fixed. Right after I renewed my lease thinking things would get better almost a year ago I got a leak in my apartment. I kept telling leasing about it for days and nothing happened. I almost had to drag someone up there and would have sued if it damaged any of my stuff because they were violating the lease terms by not repairing it in a timely manner not to mention it was damaging their property as well. I had to move all the furniture in that bedroom to the other side and couldn't use it for almost 2 weeks I will admit that I never had a problem getting things fixed right away when I would talk to the manager or assistant manager, but I should not have to go through them for every little thing or big thing. If you have staff that does not like to do their jobs and a serious lack of quality customer service which you are paying for, then something is wrong. Its a lack of management, control, and ticks off customers who will not come back. I like the location and overall apartment, but my worst fear is when something breaks I always think, "Oh great, what's it going to take and how long to get this fixed." I should not be feeling that way from a company I signed a contract with. They expect certain things from me and I them. It's disrespectful and in violation of that contract whether its the leasing agent , maintenance or the oblivious management who don't do what I'm paying them and asking them to do. I've rented a few properties in my time, and while its maybe not the worst, I would have expected better from a professionals. I hope things will improve and if so maybe I'll stay.
