When they replaced the sewer system for my building and restarted the water, my water turned brown for the first few minutes I ran it.

Big deal!!! I would much rather have a brand new system! This place is being totally overhauled and it looks gorgeous! I think alot of people are just pissed because they enjoy the status quo and are weirded out by change.

Also, as a side note, The office staff is lovely! Make your own decision!!!!!!!!!

What a bold assumption; "I think a lot of people are just pissed because they enjoy the status quo and are weirded out by change." Really!?! Yeah, that makes sense. I know I get pissed when people try to improve things around me. OR... perhaps... Could it be that other people were aggravated by bigger issues? Their water was brown and unusable for days perhaps? Or any other myriad of problems that result from renting at Uptown? Maybe YOU didn't have any problems renting from them. Good for you! So just say that, but don't assume other's issues aren't legit. Just wait until you're on the receiving end of one of their major incompetencies! Please!

I totally agree with the responder. I've had a lot of negative experience here, especially after I renewed my lease and would be very unsure of recommending it to others. Work is requiring I move and won't really be sad to move from here. I would have probably moved anyway, as far as renting goes, this has been one of my worst experiences. I came very close a couple times in reporting them to health and housing authorities and the Better Business Bureau. I'm still 50/50 if things overall are improving. If someone were to ask me, I would say find another place and check back in a year on this site and others and see what people are saying once things settle down a bit with renovating and the new owners.
