Everything was great at this place at first. Then things break, things told to my husband and I by the leasing agents seemed to all be stretches of the truth, and this place went downhill fast. Let me translate the things we were told before we moved in:
'we've got a sauna' translation: theres a sauna in the bathroom that doesn't get hot.
'we've got 2 hot tubs' translation: there's 2 hot tubs by the pool, but at least 1 is almost always broken. And the one that works has a healthy brown foam on top.
'we have a free breakfast resident breakfast once a week.' translate: we have our maintanence guy put a bunch of caprisun's in a bowl and you have your choice of a variety of gas station muffins. Some breakfast for a women that tries not to look like the overweight leasing staff!!
'we have 24 hour security' translation: We've got a guy that sits at the front desk who will let anyone in who knocks on the front door (thats what all our visitors did). And my husband and our neighbors both had a bike stolen from the front bike rack.
'we've got a full fitness center' translation: we've got 3 treadmills (1 of which might work properly), an eliptical, a bike machine, and 1 lifting machine, all at least 10 years old.
'we are going to be upgrading all our apartment units!' translates: you have to tolerate us remodeling while you live here. Your hallways will look like hell for a month, but it'll be sooooo great when it's done we don't feel like we should do anything to compensate you for putting up with our construction.
'Our staff is readily available to handle your questions and concerns' translation: Our leasing agent will help you until you sign your lease. Then they've got their commission and don't care about you.
Also, my apartment didn't have brown water, but that was a very popular complaint that people talked about while down by the pool. And the apartment lost our rent payment check once and we had to go through the hassle of putting a stop payment (which costs $$) on the check. And they accused us of not paying our rent one month but they actually didn't read their records properly.
And my last comment..our lease ended in summer 2008 and a different manager was in charge from when we moved in. I think her name is Monica. She is very unprofessional and discourteous. When we were moving out, we had some questions and concerns but could barely get a word in with her. Thank goodness we've found a new place and we our happy with our current conditions.
Well, I guess I should list a couple positives about the place before I submit:
Nice location, parking garage is convinient, and mail comes at the same time on most days.

These comments couldn't be more accurate. Props to the reviewer.
Oh! I laughed when I read the comment about the 'gas station muffins'. So true. And did anyone else notice that when the staff moved to their new office next door that they took "Cookie Day" with them (instead of leaving the cookies in the lobby for the residents). "Cookie Day" is for the leasing staff, who definately don't need it.

First off, I agree, staff doesn't need anymore cookies till they deserve them. Lived here for a few years and have to agree with the original poster about all the problems with this place. Not really a good value for the rent you pay and they just increased it more. It still a toss up with who was better, the old owners and management or new, but not impressed half a year later. It would also be nice if they gave notice when they need to turn off the hot water for whatever reason for hours. Some of us have lives and work to get to.
