Village at Loretto Heights Apartments

The staff is very nice & helpful, the apartments are spacious and parking is ample.
The upkeep/cleanliness of the building is a little bit lacking (needs painted, dirty carpets & stairwells).
The 2 biggest drawbacks are the other people who live here in the complex and the fact that it is a nice complex smack dab in the middle of the ghetto.
The apartment staff has repeated asked that children not play unsupervised at the pools or outside, but they don't enforce any rules and children are frequently playing in the pools & parking lots at all hours of the day & night. I have only used the pool once in 2.5 yrs here because it is always full of unsupervised children and other people who don't even live in this complex.
The other problem is that the neighborhood is very ghetto, I can't tell you how many times I've watched a gang fight from my balcony or been awakend in the middle of the night by people screaming at each other or lights & sirens of cop cars here in our complex. And even though they have someone patroling the property all night long, my car has been broken into twice in the 2.5 yrs I've lived here and now apparently there is a problem with people siphoning gas from our cars in the middle of the night. Also, it took almost 4 months for maintenence to get the grafitti cleaned off the outside of our apartment wall.
