10 Reasons to Live Somewhere Else

While I was living in this apartment complex, I experienced one hassle after another. So, here are a few things you may want to know before you move into Alexan CityCenter:
1. The entire staff changed frequently, making it extremely difficult to get anything done about the plethora of problems the property had accumulated due to poor management.
2. Two times, someone entered my apartment while I was at home alone and without my permission. No knocking, no warning call, just someone with a key from the office coming on in. How did they get a key' From the office!
3. Every time a maintenance person came to "fix" something, the problem was worse than before. For example, my freezer was leaking water and when I returned home from work I found the maintenance people had left ALL MY FOOD on the counter to spoil. I lost about $75 worth of food that day because of their incompetence.
4. The security doors and gates were broken more often than they were working correctly.
5. Even considering the jump in utility costs across the board, my bills were outrageous for the size of apartment I was living in.
6. LOUD fire alarms went off frequently at night.
7. Jackasses with loud motorcycles liked to rev their bikes up as loudly and as often as possible in the parking garage, which then echoed throughout the whole building.
8. When I moved out, they tried to make me pay for damages that I had clearly marked as defects in the apartment on my "move-in inventory."
9. I received a nasty letter after I moved out which was a pitiful excuse for anyone who had an education above the 6th grade level. It was full of typos, misused words, and unintelligible sentences.
10. This place is owned by Trammel-Crow, a HUGE corporation with God knows how many lawyers working for them. If they screw you, you're just screwed.
