Years at this apartment: 2004 - 2006
the only redeeming quality is the apartment's close proximity to the lightrail. of course, if you have an apartment on the outside of the building you can hear/feel the train (there are traintracks in addition to the lightrail) and the lightrail announcers every time one comes by.
like others have said it is very noisy. i was in the most secluded area but there is no escaping the loud water heaters, and hum/whine of the air conditioners. you can hear your neighbors opening/closing any cabinet or door, flushing the toilet, and using the shower. if your apartment is located on the inside of the complex, you can hear people talking in a normal tone from any apartment. if a dog is barking, EVERYONE hears it. it literally sounds as if someone is talking in the next room. the doors/windows/walls are paper thin it seems. if you're on the outside you'll hear any passerby talking from accross the street.
car was broken into once. i stopped locking the doors at that point. someone still decided to look aroud and throw my glove compartment contents around 2-3 more times. and no, i had nothing in sight siting in the car.
trash is a problem. dog ---- in hallways, trash cans in the stairwells, people leave their stuff outside their doors all the time. you'd think for $750/month for a 1 bedroom you'd actually have some decent neighbors. a lot of "trash" lives here.
the only reason i stayed here for 2 years was because i'm a student and the lightrail can get you to the cu-denver campus in 15 minutes. looking back i would've preferred just getting an apartment downtown. wish i saw the reviews before i decided to sign my first lease.
fire alarms are fun. they're strategically located in your bedroom for maximum entertainment.
if it wasn't clear, STAY AWAY. horrible.
moving out was one of the best days of my life.
