Haven't had many issues...'

Right after I moved into these apartments, I found this site. I looked at the reviews and went "Oh... S***!" and prepared for the worst renting experience of my life.
So far, though, that hasn't materialized.
The upsides are obvious: near the lightrail, near all sorts of places to eat, near stores, near the civic center and library. You can walk to almost anything you might possibly need. The apartments themselves are pretty, the layouts are good, and all the floorplans I've seen are spacey.
The downsides, so far, have been pretty small. The rent is more spendy than I'd like, the "late" fee is astronomical, and the noise is occasionally a bit much. While I can't hear the trains or the lightrail (and I do live on that side of the building), I CAN hear the neighbors upstairs every time they move. And the people going up and down the hall sound like they're in my apartment.
I've never heard the fire alarm go off, but I have heard a couple of drunken parties. Apparently the awesome thing to do around here is hang off of your balcony and harrass passerby.
The apartment staff has always been friendly, and maintenance has always been prompt and thorough. Aside from the occasional shopping cart left in the hallway (the better to transport kegs with!), I've never seen an issue with clutter or garbage in the common spaces.
Of course, I've not been here my full year, yet. Things still have time to go downhill. I remain vigilant.
