I have lived here for a year. I'm a foreigner and haven't rented for a long time. I read all the reviews before chosing this place, and quite frankly most (in my
experience) are wrong.

1. The pool area in summer is overloaded with noisy kids with no consideration
for anyone else.

2. My apartment is great (2bed/2bath), it was spotless when I moved in, I haven't
had any problems with anything.

3. The management are great - treat them how you'd like to be treated and I think
you'll get a pleasant surprise.

4. I have NEVER heard my neigbours.

5. The area is great. Plenty of things close by, I have never felt unsafe
either in the complex or the area around the complex

5. Yes, the corridors and stairs are often unsightly - could do with some
improvement.

7. Yes the rent is a little steep for so far from downtown

8. Not having a choice in cable/internet/phone supplier does suck and
should be changed

Overall, I enjoy living here, it is convenient, quiet, safe.

If you are one of the many many Saudis that live in the complex, than yes, this is a lot better than something you would have rented Riyadh. We are comparing Alexan to the rest of the apartments in the Denver Metro area in this price range. Obviously we are Americans and not here on a full paid scholarship complements of the Saudi oil. The problem is that they throw around the word luxury, when this place is just a mediocre complex at best.

Wow--to a fellow American the response to this review is embarrassing--obviously this uneducated, bigoted person doesn't know anything about Riyadh, or probaly anything of the world beyond their own front yard. I suspect the responder is one of the incredibly annoying, immature, spoiled American college kids who make the rest of us want to scream.

No, I am not from Saudi, I am an Australian. I am educated and own my own home in a very upmarket inner city area in the city I come from. So renting was new to me, and trust me, I'm fussy. If you bothered to read my original post, I never called the complex luxurious, in fact I said it is overpriced for the location & quality of appliances and there are a number of issues (no doubt that exist in ANY large complex) etc, however - my apartment was spotless when I moved in, everything worked, the front desk staff have been nothing but courteous and helpful to me, the area is convenient and overall I have enjoyed living here. I'm sorry if your experience hasn't been as good.
