Not a great place to live

Courtney Downs is a horrible place to live. We were one of the first people to move into the complex. It was fine for a while until more people started to move in. Out neighbor could not only hear us, but he would snoop on us and try to get us in trouble for things that we werent even doing. The garbage situation was fine for a while b/c they had big trash cans out front, but then they but the stupid trash compactor up (which happened to be on the other side of the complex. We spent many times walking our trash down to the compactor b/c we didnt want to put trash into our nice cars. Then when we got down there the trash was spraled all over that it almost seemed pointless to have the darn thing. Courtney downs attempted to have everybody put their trash out on certain days and have somebody come pick it up, but it became a problem so they had people stop. They didnt notify our apartment, so when we put our trash on the sidewalk on the day we were supposed to, we got a warning saying if we did it again that we would get charged $50. UGH!
We also had problems with the lighting in the hall ways as well as snow removel from the stairs. It wasnt until after one of us slipped down the stairs due to ice and no lights and us saying we were going to file a lawsuit that they fixed the problems.
Another problem we had was the water. Our second bathroom toilet produced a brown ring around it. When I called they told me to call Arapahoe County water...thankfully I talked to a conserned employee there who brought me out Sulfer reducer that took the stain away. BUT not the smell! He told me that Courtney Downs had never contacted them about the water problem!
I never actually had something break in my apartment THANK GOD! But I always heard the horror stories. I talked to one neighbor who told me that his apartment on the first floor had been broken into and Courtney Downs did nothing about it! Figures!
There is also this area BY THE PLAYGROUND for kids that when it rained would fill up like a pool, I for sure thought that a kid would drown there, but it never happened during the time I stayed there.
After my insident there and I moved out, I just bought a house, I pay less and it's much MUCH better. If you can afford it BUY a house, if not ANYTHING is better than Courtney Downs. RENT SOME PLACE ELSE!
