Not great, not bad...

Years at this apartment: 2004 - 2006
I lived at CD for two years, and it was, well, an apartment complex! It wasn't awful, it wasn't great. It just was.
PARKING - always available. Although you did get the occasional numbskull who would park sideways. It usually took a while for them to clear snow, though.
NOISE LEVEL - Not usually bad. My downstairs neighbor occasionally played their stereo too loud, or let their dog bark at 3 a.m.. We could usually hear the upstairs folks (we lived on the 2nd floor) stomping around.
GROUNDS - rather dull and dated. Nothing special.
SAFETY - Here is where CD FAILS! I saw more guns brandished here than ANYWHERE I've ever lived. One fool was running around with a 9 mm pointing it at cars and apartments. And no need to even begin to discuss the apartment on the 3rd floor of building Two that had blackout curtains and people coming and going at all hours of the night... One of the maintenance guys even told me that there was a suspected meth lab in one of the apartments, but I cannot verify that. And don't bother calling the "courtesy" patrol. I called the guy one morning (three or four am) to have him tell my neighbor to turn down their stereo. He told me, in not so many words, that he was sleeping, and would get to it in his own good time.
CONSTRUCTION - Good. Nothing special.
MAINTENANCE - Good. Usually prompt and friendly.
OFFICE STAFF - always kind to me and my wife. I can see how they might rub people the wrong way, but they were always good to me. A lot of turn-over, though. I think I saw a new face in there about every month.
OVERALL - Not bad. Might want to keep looking. No gate to keep the riff raff out. Rather isolated location. Definitely overpriced.
