My apartment at Courtney Downs was very nice. I was pleased with the upkeep when I moved in and I found it very adequate for my needs.

The community itself is in constant disarray. While I lived there, some weights were stolen from the fitness room and it took them nearly six months to replace them even though they had a security camera! As you've likely seen in other posts, the trash area is also terrible. It is constantly overfilled and looks terrible. The pool is disgusting and never a good temperature (even though it's supposedly heated). At least one car was broken into while I lived there and I'm not sure anything was ever done about it.

I'm most disappointed in the management. When I first moved in, they did everything they could to get me in the apartment including offering a great price. However, they were constantly trying to raise it back to the "normal" rate and, when it was time to sign the new lease, they raised my rent dramitically. When I moved out, I honestly feel they were trying to get even for me living there at a low price because they charged me for every last item they could find. I left my apartment as clean as any I've ever lived in but still got stuck with hundreds of dollars in fees - my favorite of which was the dust BEHIND THE WASHING MACHINE that they had to sweep up. No, I'm not kidding.

I will NOT recommend Courtney Downs to anyone!
