I previously gave a favorable review, however as time goes on I feel that I must revise it to unfavorable:
1. Office staff does not want to deal with problems: Residents not picking up after their dogs. Drivers running stop signs in the community. Drivers speeding in the community. Problems with the gates. I complained to them about someone not cleaning up after their dogs (2 dogs - community policy is only 1 dog per apartment). They did nothing about it and I finally had to confront the person myself.
2. Agree with other reviewers that snow removal is a joke. It was 2 full days before they even began any snow removal(March 2003 blizzard), and then it was only a single lane thru the complex.. It was another 2 days after that before the snow was more completely removed.. Even then most residents had to clear the snow themselves from around their parked cars and garages. In general, normal snow removal here is highly inadequate.
3. Agree with other reviewers that there is shoddy construction such as cracks in the walls, doors and windows not sealed properly.
This is the dustiest apartment I have ever lived in since when the wind blows the dirt and dust easily blows in even with the doors and windows closed. Snow blows in under the main entrance and balcony doors. Even after maintenance came to "fix it" the problems are still occurring.
4. Rent specials are attracting many undesirable residents.
5. The gates are a joke. They often don't work (fortunately when they don't work they are stuck in the open position and not closed). When someone arrives who doesnt have a remote or code to open it they just wait for someone else to come along and open it. If no one comes along going in, then they wait for someone to go out and then drive thru on the wrong side (I almost got hit by someone doing this).
6. Fully agree with the reviewer who mentioned the problem with the USPS refusing to deliver mail. Management was well aware of the problems prior to this and refused to do anything about it. Then when the USPS stopped delivery the Dove Valley management blamed USPS.

Actually pet policies state that you can have 2 pets as long as the combined weight is not over 80lbs.
