2 1/2 years of hell From: -Anonymous- Date posted: 3/31/2004 Years at this apartment: 2002 - 2004 1 response   My wife and I lived here for almost 2 1/2 years and we experienced the worst customer service of our lives. They make airline customer service reps look like saints! In general it is a problem with Carmel Properties and we have vowed never to rent from them again, anywhere under an condition! They could have offered us free rent for a year and we'd still move! Maintenance nevers shows and then blames us for settling cracks and other issues that come with new apartments. This "gated community" only has a gate that cover's 3/4 of the property. The adjacent back-lot is wide open. The gates only work about half the time if that. But hey, at least they get stuck in the open position. Leasing office personnel are totally incompetant and rude. Never follow up on issues. The US Postal Service stopped our mail services for about a month last year and Carmel Properties tried to blame them! Even though the USPS provided documentation that they were warned several times and chose to ignore the problems! Do not live here unless you take a 3rd floor apartment on the end of the builing. You can hear everything that happen upstairs and next door.
