Beautiful apartment, LOUSY EVERYTHING ELSE!!

Years at this apartment: 2003 - 2006
When I first moved in to Dove Valley, I fell in love with the floor plan I was shown and the price was right. I was offered an amazing move in special.
Since then, I've learned what a crap-hole this place really is. EVERYTHING breaks. The water lines in my building broke twice within the month of December 2004, and flooded my apartment. The screen door on my balcony won't stay on. There are drafts coming in from both that and the front door, despite several requests to fix them. The water tastes horrible, and the dishwasher leaves a white film and sandy deposits all over the dishes. I got brand new dishes, silverware, and glasses right before I moved in and they are all ruined. Last summer (2005) there were dead birds all over and it took DAYS for them to be cleaned up. They put some sort of poison on the roof to keep them from pecking at the rooftops, but it "wasn't supposed to kill them, just make them sick enough to stop doing it".
The walls and ceilings are thin so you can hear everything going on in all bordering apartments. My front door shakes every time my neighbor across the hall opens or closes their door. The halls are like giant megaphones so everyones conversations are magnified. The upstairs neighbors are party animals and apparently like to jump up and down on the floor a lot. When this happens, my wine rack and glasses rattle. I'm surprised everything fragile I own hasn't shattered. I can hear every word of every song blared through my next door neighbors stereo. It's horrible.
As if all this wasn't bad enough, my rent has increased almost $100 in the past two years. I'm actually getting charged more to live in a place that gets worse the longer I live here'
The kicker is the staff. There is constant turnover and the rules change with each new batch of idiots that is brought in. Exceptions and courtesies made to some residents are not made to all residents, and when confronted on this their excuse is "we're under new management". In addition, they are cold, rude, inconsiderate and don't care one little bit about their residents.
My lease ends in October and I can't wait to get out of this little slice of hell on earth!!
