Dove Valley

I moved into my first place by myself here. When I looked it was very nice, office staff friendly, and very reasonably priced. I was suprised I could afford a two bedroom place by myself. However, the day I moved in, I had major problems. First of all, my apartment was no where ready to be moved into. I had the moving truck outside and my furniture being delivered. The apartment was not cleaned at all! Some walls were painted, some weren't. There was food on the walls and blinds in the kitchen. The floors weren't cleaned. We spent almost all day cleaning the kitchen. The ice maker didn't work and made dirty, black ice, which still isn't fixed, 18 months later. The dishwasher leaked so bad, the wood around it rotted and fell off. There was a family of crickets living there. They put a piece of cardboard up until they could replace the wood. I moved in and a new cleaning crew came in and did clean it. The excuse was, they had a new lady that just started. The blinds in the Master bedroom and kitchen needed to be replaced. The kitchen ones came in and they didn't match the one that was remained. I have one white and two beige. The dishwasher still leaked and they did replace that within a week. I called monthly for the new blinds in the bedroom and the floor board to be replaced. I was always told, "that maintence left and we can't find the order so we need to order it again." Six months later and many more phone calls, I got blinds that worked. One year later my new floor board came in. It was a little piece of wood that was about 4 inches by 2 inches. Yes, the "hardwood" floors are fake and look very cheap. Of course, the model they show you, has real hardwood. I have complained since I moved in 18 months ago about my neighbors above me. I have read the other reviews about not living here with kids, well I am on the side. I don't hve children but the family above me has 2. Those kids love to jump and run 24/7. My only peaceful time in my place is when they are out of town. I hear them cry, scream, jump, run, slam doors, throw toys repeatedly on the "hardwood" floors. I call and complain constantly. I have had the leasing agents and courtesy patrol out here to document it. Nothing has been done. The leasing office said they would write them letter, I called every week for three weeks and it still wasn't done. I called to speak to the manager 6 times. He still hasn't called. The leasing agent I have problems with called me back and said, the manager wanted her to call me and see if she could do anything to help. I called Carmel Partners, no one will call me back and the office won't give me a direct phone number or contact name.Frustrating!!! So they won't do anything to help me. They only they would care about me is if I didn't pay my rent on time. (which hasn't happened). I asked to be out of lease without penalty b/c they haven't done anything and of course they said no. When my lease is up, I am out of here!!!! This place is horrible, not to mention that the rabbits chew the wires in your car. I have had several repairs done due to this and the spiders in my apartment the size of cherry tomatoes!! They do have pest control but he can't come that often because the chemicals aren't good for you. So, I hope you take this review seriously and don't rent here.
