Moved here from out of state w/ equity apartments. The apartment ammenities agreed upon over the phone were not available when we arrived witht he moving truck - we were offered a lesser apartment at the same price.
2 months after living here I came home around 11:00pm to hear gunshots rattle off. A guy getting out of his white suburban was shot at 200ft from the leasing office.
About 2 months after that my car was broken into - window smashed and ignition punched - Guess they got scared off cause they didn't actually steal my car - parked about 20ft from where the drive by was...
The water heater has been replaced, the faucets have been replaced, the stove still has one burner that doesn't work.
The upstairs neighbors have a cat - the floor is so thin that we hear him racing laps above our heads, it may sound funny but it can be annoying. And then if the people vacuum above us - first time that happened I thought the had a leaf blower turned on upstairs...

I happen to live nex to the building where the RANDOM shooting took place. I have lived at the Marks for several years and have NEVER experienced anything like this. Remember crime has no address. The leasing office acted promptly to the situation and the friend of the person was immediately asked to move. The situation was resolved in a timely manner. As far as maintenance is concerned if you just get up off your lazy butt and call the office they will fix your stove. Instead you find the time to bash a great place to live.

I read this review and was concerned since I was scheduled to move in to the Marks. The Englewood police have no records of any one ever being shot at the Marks. So--lesson learned, don't believe everything you read. Do some research yourself...make your own opinions.
