I just finished talking on the phone with an office staff and decided I should write a review, something I should have done a LONG time ago.
Office staffs:
For two years I have lived here, I have experienced too much unpleasant encounters with the office staffs and the neighbors. The first day I moved in, my neighbor was cranking up some heavy metal, so I called went to talk to the office people. The next day, when my neighbor did the same again, I talked to the office staff (again) and she (her name was Laurie, doesn't work there anymore) said: You can move somewhere else. You still got a week to decide. Great attitude there!
I just had a little maintenance issue to be taken care of, so I called the office to get some help. She (I don't remember what her name is) was impatient, as if she couldn't wait to hang up the phone. She asked me if the maintenance guy could have my permission to enter, I said only if I am on the property, and when I wanted to ask when the maintenance person would be available, she kept interrupting impatiently as if she has to go to the bathroom or something. She even said: well I'm sitting "IN THE OFFICE" and thus don't know when the maintenance guy will be available." Great, she's an office lady, so basically I should just go ---- myself. WOW!!! Very rude manner! Remember: if you sit in an office (thus you are "professional"), you can be rude to people--Lessons from the Marks.
The worst of all is the manager. She is rude to me and very unfriendly, though she puts up a shady friendly smile she can tell its fake from miles away. She even tore up a document in front of me once just because I didn't want to sign it (can you be a ruder person than that') Recently she's been smiling at me because she is raising rent for next year. Yeah, I just received a rent-raise notice: my rent will be 80 dollars more every month if I choose to renew my lease. I have talked to other people and they are moving out whenever their lease term expire.
Noises:
Before I moved in I doubled check to make sure this is not a noisy place. The lady who at the time closed the deal with me said "it is very quiet; no noises." Well, I believed her, and now I wanna freakin' sue her because she LIED!!! The worst insulation you can have. I can hear what the guy below is saying to his girlfriend. No kidding!!
The Marks is very close to University of Denver, thus many of my neighbors are college students. If you're lucky you might get an old lady who never makes a sound living above (or below you). If you think you live on the top floor you'll never hear any noises, you are wrong my friend. I live on the top floor and I often hear party noises from below! A year ago there was this college guy and when I asked him to turn down his music, he retaliated by cranking it even louder. WTF' Then this year a new college girl moved in, and she's bad too. When you try to talk to the management, they don't care. They don't see themselves as service providers: they are office people.
Conclusion: This is the shittiest place you can ever imagine living in. And they lie about alot of things. On top of all that, your rent is sky high and you get the worst services ever. Do NOT come here or you'll regret!

odd...I've not had any problems with the staff. And, make sure you know who you are taking to, there is a leasing manager, but she's not the acutal property manager.

It's not actually all that close to DU and with the prices, I can't imagine a lot of college kids can actually afford to live there - I looked into it before moving into one of the cheaper neighboring complexes (Kimberly Village - don't live there, seriously.). Furthermore, having lived right next door to the Mark for almost a year now, most of the people I have seen coming to and from are either young couples in their early 20's or older people in their 60's or so. I see many of the patios decorated with kids toys, but I don't really ever see any kids...
But yeah. Not so many obnoxious college kids.
