Beware! Health Hazard! From: -Anonymous- Date posted: 11/29/2003 Years at this apartment: 2001 - 2003   We were the first tenants in our unit. From the time we moved in, the cooling/heating was inefficient, at best. In addition, we had to dust our furniture daily. Our son's asthma had been under control until we moved into this complex, but he had frequent attacks when we lived there. We repeatedly asked the management to check the furnace/air conditioning. In the end, we had an independent contractor examine the system and found that the flue was clogged with building material, preventing the flow of fresh air in or out of the system. The contrator finally "red tagged" the furnace, meaning that we couldn't use it until repairs had been made. At last, some attention was paid to this life-threatening situation. Management was not only negligent, but also hostile when we made numerous requests for repairs. We ended up having to hire an attorney to get our legimate needs met.
