Stayed here as long as we have only because the staff tempted us with cheaper rent for longer leasing. The apartment is a great size for the price, but that's where anything positive about this community ends. Ice is never cleared from the walkways, making even getting to your car an olympian effort in the winter. No body picks up after their dogs so you have to dodge dog poop just to go for a stroll....the lawns are eaten away in huge patches where the dog poop has rotted the grass. Forget about being able to park...some cars stay in the same spots for 4 months at a time and are never towed (I think the car owners think they can "store" their cars there), meanwhile people who need the spot to park have to park at the opposite end of the community more often then not. On top of that, the trashy people that live here often have their friends or family staying in trailers in the parking lots...I kid you not! Perhaps the parking problems are directly linked to the fact that ANYONE can just drive into the community, as the gate will reopen if you drive anywhere near it when it is not fully closed which is just about never. In fact, cars line up and wait to get in, or pull into the out side, and no one ever says a thing. Also, the gates are broken about 1/2 the time. Currently, there is a huge gaping hole in the gate near our apartment that looks like someone tried to drive through the gate successfully...you could walk through it and could probably even take a car through it...no sign of it being fixed anytime soon. When they were repaving the roads and parking areas, we parked by the mailboxes that were not scheduled to be tarred, but had our car tarred and painted around none the less, which made it impossible to move until the ground had dried somewhat. Our neighbours have gotten progressively more trashy (I guess the cheaper rents are attracting them). Neighbours across the hallway constantly leave flip flops in front of the main doors for you to trip on when you're entering the building, and several neighbours leave their trash in the hallways for days (I guess they don't want to drag it all the way to the dumpters which ARE few and far between). One neighbour even used the hallway as storage for several bags of clothes, a box and a vaccuum cleaner for about 2 months. Our downstairs neighbour literally shakes our apartment through the flooring and carpeting with his loud music, and revs his motorcycle at unreasonably early times on the weekends, usually for bout 20 minutes to 1/2 hour before finally taking off on his weekend drives. Management hasn't done a thing to stop any of these inconsiderate and dirty behaviours. Pool table was ripped for about 4 months without being fixed and you have to supply your own cue and chalk after office hours. Forget about trying to use the business center, there's always a line up, two of the computers don't even work and there's never a single sheet of paper to print or copy things onto. The hallway in the stairwell is cracked and crumbling, maintenance shows no signs of fixing it. A tile from the garage fell on my SO's car, damaging it and management told him it was his own fault (huh!' maybe it was his fault for paying extra for the garage'). No one can prepare you for the noise from the nearby airport, which rattles the apartment and makes conversation impossible until the plane passes, and the fire department behind the community is pretty loud too, even with all the windows shut. Location wise, there is absolutely nothing within walking distance, and the only bus route is a commuter bus that runs twice a day during the week and not at all on weekends, so you'd better have a reliable car if you're thinking of living here. On top off all the other aggrevations, when the lease ended before we had given notice, we were forced to stay on month to month for the 60 day notice period but were NOT informed that the month to month rent was significantly higher. We then received a notice telling us to pay the difference or vacate within 3 days, even though on the lease agreement it states that any price increases will be given in writing with 30 days notice. Basically, the community is falling apart, the management use illegal scare tactics and don't take responsibility for anything that might have been their mistake, the noise and parking are unbearable and the neighbours are trash that have recently moved up from living in trailers.

You have made a fool of yourself just by posting this. Do you think it's ther fault you didn't give notice to leave? That's a part of apartment life. It's not their fault if people are not competent enough to read the rules... Grow up

To andreamrichardson. You must be another Windsor staff member desperate to keep your pathetic low-end job. YOU need to grow up, seriously. The poster has very legitimate and real complaints, I know, I lived there.
