Maintenance' What maintenance' Have an emergency' Have a flood' Have a leak' Need something fixed' DON'T HOLD YOUR BREATH WAITING FOR IT TO BE FIXED! Work orders are lost. Maintenance sucks royally.
The cops are always here for one thing or another. Residents steal off first floor balconies. Kids and teens are running around all hours of the day and night. The laundry facilities suck and rip off your money. The dryers don't dry and the office doesn't care. It takes forever to get a pool fixed and open. You never know if the pool will be open. Snow doesn't get shoveled quickly. The parking lot doesn't get plowed, salted or sanded. Do you like walking on sheets of ice' Then come live here! You can skate in the parking lot and some sidewalks. For the blizzard the sidewalks were not shoveled for 2 weeks. You couldn't even get to the bus stop without walking in snow up to your knees. I've had numerous maintenance problems that are still not resolved - one is over a year later, another is 2 years later. I can't wait til my lease is up.
Maintenance has a high turnover and they don't care about anyone. The office has gone through too many transitions and turnovers as well. It's gone downhill from bad to worse over 2 years.
It's no longer safe to walk around here at night and there's not enough parking. There's no sidewalks to apartments that face the parking lot. The walls are thin and you can hear your neighbors very clearly doing anything and everything at all hours of the day and night.
People don't clean up after their dogs, so you're stuck avoiding dog poop when walking on the grass. Dogs are noisy and left out on balconies. The office just doesn't care.
The apartments are very drafty. Chimneys are not maintained. Furnaces and air ducts are not maintained. Excel bills are very high due to window leaks, etc. It costs me appx. $100 a month in the winter to heat and light my apt. and have hot water - and that's a cheap bill! It's been as high as $130 when it's really cold out.
