Legacy Heights is a fairly attractive new complex. Its advantages are closeness to Fort Sam Houston, Alamo Heights, and downtown. It is "inside the loop", the 410 loop. The neighborhood is a little dicey but the property seems quite secure. It has a washers and dryers, ice makers in the refrig, and fairly nice bathroom and kitchen fixtures. The design is good. The common room and the pool seem to be mostly for show and looks, although if you just wanted to sunbath the pool area is attractive. The exercise room is fairly good, especially the aerobic machines. When I first moved in I asked someone what they thought and got an earful about cheap contruction and noise from the neighbors. I have heard a dog barking but that has been corrected and the construction is reasonable for an apartment. My only complaint was that the apartment managements towing company partner (they enforce parking by letting a company come into the compound) put a very large sticker on my windshield, about 5 inches square, when I parked longitudinaly in two spots on afternoon. It said something like "It the vehicle is still here in 24 hours it will be towed". This device was nearly impossible to remove and it was placed right in front of the driver seat so the vehicle couldn't be operated safely. This was rediculous, because the building around mine were still under construction, there were hundreds of parking spaces and construction material and construction vehicles willy nilly every day. I complained to the apartment management, saying that their partner basically defaced my vehicle and made it undrivable. Instead of contacting Idiot's Towing Company, Inc. they tried to put the blame on me, after it took nearly an hour, using a knife and solvents to scrape and clean the windshield. They said it was my problem, between me and the towing company. I made the point that they were responsible for their partners, who they let on the property to do this, and it was their responsibity to correct what was an absurd practice. No word back yet but I think I made my point.
