The Argyle is gorgeous, but there are a few alarming things you should know if you are thinking about moving in:
--If you break your lease, you must pay up to $2,000, not $300 like they tell you in the interview. --The walls are seriously thin. Live on the very top floor if you must move here. Want to hear people getting it on' You will if you live here. --The management is snotty and uneducated, but they will be nice to you as long as you pay your rent on time. --Maintenence staff will demand to come in your home whether you want them to or not. --I actually had a wonderful experience on the top 3rd floor that had nothing to do with management. I had views of the mountains and if anything broke, it was fixed within a day. However, they are very unethical and scammy when it comes to leases, so please be careful. AD2Hw9Wn8Umb3NN1w1jt

I have lived here since May of 2006.
When I first moved in here into a 2 bedroom, 2 bath apartment with a room mate, we complained to the office staff that there were paint drips on the carpet from the maintenance staff. The office staff replied: "Really? We'll give you brand new carpet then!! And you can have brand new vinyl in all the bathrooms, in the kitchen, and in the laundry room, no problem!" The following day, we had new carpet, and the day after that, we had new linoleum, just as promised.
A few months later, my room mate situation went bad, and the office staff transferred me into a one bedroom apartment without any problems, and the manager was very helpful and kind.
As far as the noise issue: NOT ONE TIME did I ever hear my neighbors, and the people who lived below me admitted they had no idea anyone lived above them for a good 2 months because they couldn't hear anything going on in my apartment, and I will admit, I made no real effort to be extra quiet for the neighbors downstairs.
As for the blizzard of 2006: we got 2 feet of snow in one night. People were at their wits end and mass panic gripped the residents of this community. What NONE OF THESE RESIDENTS REALIZE is that apartment communities are LOW PRIORITY to snow plow companies. What is high priority to them are hospitals, grocery stores, and primary roadways. And I took the liberty of calling the company who the Argyle was contracted through for snow removal, and they said that a 30 minute job at the hospital took them 8 hours, so they obviously were pretty backed up. I also called 7 other apartment complexes in town to see how their snow removal was going, and they all said they hadn't been dug out yet either. The Argyle was the frist property to be properly dug out.
I lived on a 3rd floor apartment at this time, and from that perch, I saw all three of the maintenance guys here working 24 HOURS A DAY!!!!!! I am up at odd hours of the evening and I looked out the window at 7pm, 11 pm, and 2 am, and every time I looked I saw a maintenace guy shoveling snow. Thats a dedicated team!!!!
I have experience in the apartment business world, I have worked as a leasing agent for 9 different apartment communities and I give this one 100%!!! You are a fool to listen to all the whiners on this site!!!!
Oh yeah, and the Arbors at Sweetgrass charge the same rent price we do for MUCH MUCH MUCH smaller apartments that are NOWHERE close to being as nice as the Argyle!!!

I send out letters at least 2 day ahead of time before entering an apartment if we are conducting inspections. If you specify that you would like to be home during a maintenance repair we are always accomodating. I have no idea what this former resident is talking about. I am a college graduate who took my education seriously, so please do not call me uneducated. Snotty?? You've got to be kidding. I have no tolerance for snotty people. We're all human. I judge people solely on their character and how they treat others. Come visit our property and decide for yourself.

Here's my 2 cents-Obviously it's me, the manager-It's pretty clear in my response. It was cleared by day 2. The snow storm hit on late Wednesday and it was cleared on Friday. I remember this because my husband sat in the snow plow tractor with the snow remover for 5 hours on Friday night to direct where to put all the snow since it was so difficult to see.
If you are rude to me don't expect smiley faces and I am guessing by your comment that you were rude to me. You get farther with honey than you do with vinegar.
This lease is a standard Colorado Apartment Association lease. You obviously were not following the rules and something ticked you off (and they are not hard rules to live by).
I never charge anyone who is living here above what the market rent is. Where do you come up with this information?
PS- You spelled "maintanence" incorrectly again.

Anonymous is the MANAGER. This is MANAGEMENT's own review of there own apartment. Suprise, suprise, it's a great review.
No snow was removed by any maintanenece staff. No one was working 24 hours a day. This is what management told me too. I can walk outside and see that no one was working on snow removal. Not a single sidewalk was cleared for three days. The manager is lying in her post. It took three days to get anyone to do any work, and each day I talked to them they said, 'Oh we'll have someone on that today'. Other apartment complex had sidewalks cleared by day one. Ram's Point and the complex at Harmony and Lemay had there parking lots cleared on Day 2.
Maintanence will enter your apartment with no notice. And if you complain they inform you that it is there right. Management may be educated but they are rude.
The lease IS the worst in town. Hands down NO one charges as large a fee for getting out of your lease.
If you plan on renewing your lease, the rates will increase quickly. Better rates are given to new residents, these discounts are not given to current residents.

I agree with the last anonymous poster - the FIRST anonymous poster was obviously Melissa Beebe (the manager). I know, we're stupid for moving here in the first place, but we're not that stupid.
I'm surprised she didn't claim that the residents got too. seriously, new carpet AND linoleum in 2 days?
Yeah, right - the 2 people they have working here did that all by themselves, meanwhile keep all 279 other apartments in good repair.
I live here Melissa. If someone actually complained about something like that, you'd probably tell them that there's a drug store right around the corner where they could buy cleaning supplies.
And we're very happy you have a college degree too Melissa. Guess what - most of your residents have college degrees too and they didn't get them from ACCCC (Anyone Can Come Community College)
As far as entering our apartments (I do not know if it is required by law in Colorado as it is in other states), but it would be nice if you left a note saying you entered our apartment.
