I lived in Parkwood East for 1 year. It wasn't the quietest place to live, that is for sure. There were alot of college kids, all hours parties, and you could hear EVERYTHING your neighbors did.


They were very hot in the summer. The wall unit Air Conditioners were crappy, and didn't do a thing to cool anyplace but directly in front of them.


The kitchens are very small and the layout was generally cramped. The closets were small, and the appliances were very old and didn't work properly all the time. I wound up never using the dishwasher because it never got my dishes clean even if I pre-rinsed them.

The noise was my biggest complaint. People were permitted to have their stereo blaring so loudly, it literally shook pictures on my walls. There were all-night parties and tons of broken beer bottles all around the place, left to lay for weeks on end.


The hot tub was always broken, and the weight equipment was old and never worked properly.

The ventilation systems were poor. There were people in the downstairs apartment that cooked spicy foods and the smell would permeate into our apartment and into our clothing for days afterward.

Maintenance wouldn't come for days on end until you called them 3 or 4 times to complain. Then, they would come to the apartment unnannounced and tack a "sorry you weren't here when we tried to fix your issue" note on the door...when you didn't even know they were coming in the first place.

I wasn't happy with this place at all, and was very glad to move out.
