This apartment complex offered me an almost "too good to be true" offer of a 1 year lease with 6 months free. After writing checks for a app-fee and $300 deposit, I was approved to move in. I was told I had 72 hours to decide - after which my deposit check would be cashed - whether I moved in or not. After requesting a copy of the lease, it included NONE of the promissed discounts but instead listed the full rent (no 6 months pro-rated) in the fine print. No where was the promised "great deal". Also, the leasing agent neglected to inform me that after 24 hours after approval, my deposit check would be cashed - not 72 hours dependant on my move in preference. IN CONCLUSION - read the fine print. The information above was all documented but in hidden spots on the lease.

"Hidden spots on the lease"? Hey brain surgeon if they were on the lease they where not hidden!!! God people are sooooo stupid.... After 24 hours after approval, my deposit check would be cashed - not 72 hours dependant on my move in preference. That???s because the deposit was holding a vacant unit that could otherwise have been rented to someone else while you checked with Mommy. after you signed your lease Colorado State law gives you 72 hours to cancel said lease with no other obligation but security deposit loss since you used an apt they could have rented to someone who can make up their mind. After requesting a copy of the lease, it included NONE of the promised discounts but instead listed the full rent (no 6 months pro-rated) in the fine print. Nowhere was the promised "great deal". That???s a lie the special was located on the rent special addendum and you know it, the lease has to state the actual market rent in the lease that is the law, and that is why you had to sign a lease addendum rent form showing the special offered. If you didn???t sign one and signed the lease as is then you are a moron!! |

It sounds like Dara (the b*#@ch who manages The Cliffs) wrote that first review. This place is a joke, management DOES lie before the lease signing, and your heater is either ON or OFF, no middle ground. BUT, you pay for the heat either way. What do you say? Class-Action Suit, anyone?
