I moved here because I don't need much and Golden seemed quiet enough. I am moving out when my lease is up, after 2 years (I hate moving!). I would live in my car before I would stay another day here. The office staff is the most unprofessional, arrogant and incompetent lot I have ever had the misfortune to come into contact
with. Maintenance is handled (remarkably) by one man who I think works 24/7. The police are here more than at a Dunkin Donut shop. I think they recruite new tennents only from the parole board or rehab centers.
Now honestly it's not all bad here. I have had some really nice neighbors here. There is a bright side to all their folly.
If your pharmacy is ever closed you're never SOL.
If you need a cart there is always a stolen bascart from the local grocery store sitting around just for you. (a lot of fun without the price of a long board)
If you have pollen issues don't worry, they only mow the grass that can be seen from the street.
For those with kids,
They did try to childproof the kitchen cabinets. You have to open the oven so you can open the drawer (I would have never thought of that)
The parking lot is a lovely ice rink during the winter and there is a nice park across the street.
I'm not sure about their "gated" community thing, but they do have barbed wire on their fence. (you never know about those church-goers next door).
All that said, they are in the process of some serious cleanup, planting rocks and they say they are going to fill in the pool that had been an empty eye sore for some 5-7 years. Granted some things do take time.
Simply put, when all is said and done there are better, nicer, larger, cheaper apartments. Just look.

Hilarious review! If it's any consolation, they just lost a potential tenant. FYI - their new offer is "good credit = free rent", guess that says it all right there.
